Review:
Pelagos is the flagship restaurant at the Four Seasons Astir Palace hotel in Athens, and provides an upscale, friendly dining experience with some great food and wine.
We went there for dinner and sat outside with a great view of the sunset and of the terrace below – there was a wedding party going on which the staff apologised for, but we enjoyed the vibe and music and fireworks.
We shared tuna carpaccio and sea bass carpaccio to start with, which were beautifully presented and very tasty. For mains, we had the grouper with tomato and olive sauce, and the fillet of fish with vegetables. We started with a glass of white Greek sparkling wine and then glass of Greek white wine each, which were both delicious. My dining companion also had a caramelised brioche dessert with cinnamon ice cream, and we were both given bonuses of Greek liquor and mini baklava – I am now a big baklava fan.
