Review:
The Knolls is one of the restaurants at the lovely spa hotel The Cappella on Sentosa within Singapore. If you’re staying at the hotel you might go there for breakfast (and lunch, and dinner …) and you can sit outside or inside.
For dinner, we sat outside and between us enjoyed the tuna tartare, smoked haddock, ham croquettes, chicken with apricot (which was highly recommended by the diner who sampled it), pan seared sea bass with ratatouille and beef. The desserts included chocolate fondants but lots of us went for the churros with dips of lemon, chocolate and cream – they were great (if more in the American style than traditional Spanish churros).
For lunch, we tried the mushroom risotto as well as the traditional Singaporean chicken with rice and dips and chicken broth, as well as green teas with biscotti. Both meals came with a good selection of free bread served with oil and balsamic vinegar. The service was very friendly throughout as well.
