Review:
After a hard day theme-parking, sometimes you just want some great food while looking out at the park-goers and the Star Wars merchandise and pondering whether to get a Leia T-shirt or a BB8 life-sized toy. In those circumstances, you would do well to consider Catal, a popular family restaurant in LA’s Downtown Disney.
My partner Owl and I selected a bottle of 2014 Rombauer Chardonnay from California, which was creamy and buttery, but even more excitingly was described by our waitress as ‘cougar juice'(!) due to its popularity with certain ladies.
We started with stuffed peppers and ahi poke, followed by traditional paella and chicken paella – all of which was tasty if a little oversized. The highlight of the meal for me was this red velvet cake …
which I would say beat my partner Owl’s chocolate croissant bread pudding hands down.
