When I visited: November 2015
Location: London, near Piccadilly Circus
Rating in the Michelin Guide: Not rated in the Guide
What to wear: Could go casual
Ambience: Friendly, bustling
Course of the meal: Black truffle and pecorino ravioli
If I could change one thing: More standout dishes
Review:
San Carlo Cicchetti offers a fun, friendly atmosphere as well as a range of good Italian tapas dishes and a central location near Piccadilly Circus.
I went with my partner Owl and we shared a bottle of prosecco (which was good but perhaps a little overpriced at £35) as well as several courses from the different areas of the menu (similar to the options at La Cave): crab and avocado salad with crispy flatbread, prosecution and funghi pizza, black truffle and pecorino ravioli, polpette (meatballs), and queen scallops served in seashells with a breadcrumb coating. The desserts also looked good but we didn’t sample them on this occasion due to being pretty full.
I would recommend this restaurant for a quick and tasty dinner with friends or a partner.
