When I visited: August 2013
Location: Barcelona, in the W hotel
Team: Carles Abellan (Head Chef)
Rating in the Michelin Guide: Recommended
What to wear: Men – jeans or nice trousers and a shirt; women – jeans and a smart top or a smart dress
Ambience: Spanish, fairly large
Course of the meal: Iberian pork “chorizo”
If I could change one thing: More lively atmosphere
Review:
If you are staying at the W in Barcelona, or if you aren’t but just fancy a good-quality Spanish feast, you should head to Bravo 24. It isn’t the most memorable of restaurants and didn’t offer any standout dishes that committed themselves to my expansive Owl memory, but I do remember its consistency. It is best enjoyed in the evening after a day of lazing by the pool … bliss. Go for a tapas selection with all the typically Spanish things (patatas bravas, chorizo, seafood) and you won’t be disappointed.
