NOW CLOSED
When I visited: 2012
Location: London, Marylebone
Team: Martin Major (Head Chef)
Rating in the Michelin Guide: Recommended
What to wear: Men – jeans or nice trousers and a shirt; women – jeans and a smart top or a smart dress
Ambience: Smart casual
Course of the meal: Poached cod with black quinoa and smoked eel
If I could change one thing: More memorable food
Review:
I don’t remember this restaurant massively well (again, I didn’t make my geeky extensive notes back in 2012) but for a one star, I feel like it should have left more of an impression than simply ‘quite nice posh French food’. (It has since gone down to ‘recommended’ in the Michelin Guide.)
I would like to visit again to see if it can make more of an impression on me now I know a bit more about fine dining …
